Michellle's paper on UDP-galactopyranose mutase from A. fumigatus has been accepted for publication in ABB. She used several techniques including, UV/vis spectrophotometry, organic synthesis, fluorescence, CD spectroscopy, and several chromatographic techniques. The paper contains 8 figures and 6 tables. Great job, Michelle!!!!
Michelle's recent AHA award was featured in several on-line publications. Click in the links below to read the article. Congratulations Michelle!!!!!
We are happy to welcome Ana Lisa Valenciano to Virginia Tech. Ana Lisa will be working on L. major UDP-galactopyranose mutase. We hope she is the first of many students to visit our lab from Costa Rica. Click on the International Exchange tab to learn about this program.
Michelle was awarded a predoctoral fellowship from the American Heart Association. The award, $46,000 for 2 years, will support her research focusing on the determination of the chemical mechanism of UDP-galactopyranose mutase from Trypanosoma cruzi. Congratulations Michelle!!!!!!!!!
